CLEVELAND – The baltimore Ravens โare preparing for a important โฃchallenge against the Cleveland Browns‘ defense in Week 11, with Mylesโฃ Garrett identified as a keyโฃ focalโ point.โ Ravens players acknowledge the Browns’โ disruptive โขdefensive line, led by Garrett, posesโค a unique threat as Baltimore aims โคto take the leadโ in the AFC North.
The Browns’ defensive prowess was evidentโข in their recent matchup โคagainst Baltimore, where defensiveโ tackles Mason Graham and โขMyles Garrett โคeach โrecorded five tackles and combined for three tacklesโ for loss. Garrett also registered 1.5 sacks in that game.
This season, โGarrett currently leadsโ the NFL with 17 โคtackles for loss,โ and the Browns’ defense โขasโ a whole hasโ accumulated 67 tackles for loss, averaging 7.44 per game.
Ravens fullback Patrick Ricard emphasizedโค the โphysicality and penetrationโฃ ofโข the Browns’ defensive line. “They’re very physical. They โget up the field, (and) they penetrate,” โRicard said. “Obviously, โคthey have (Myles) Garrett, so that’s a huge challenge in โitself right โฃthere. So, โit is indeed just one of those โขdefensive lines where you have to just get on them โขright away, don’t let them get going as โwhen they โคget going, they get aโ head โfullโ of steam. They can โฃreset the line of scrimmageโค and โmake it more โคtoughโ for us.”
Garrett’s recent โคperformance has been โparticularly impactful, with seven sacks, eight quarterback hits, and nine tackles for loss in his last three games. Tightโ end Mark Andrews โacknowledged Garrett’s dominance but stressed the need to prepare for the โฃentire Browns defense.
“It’s extremely vital (to chip Myles Garrett) and I think all 11 guys โare going to be keying on that,” Andrews โขsaid. “Obviously he’s one-of-one.โ He’s probably (one of), if not,โ the best athlete of all-timeโ on defense, if not the best defensive end of all-time.โข So, we โฃneed โto be โขready for โhim but it’s really a โฃbig โฃchallenge for us all โขaround.”
