The 2026 BAFTA Film Awards are set to take place on Sunday, February 22, at London’s Royal Festival Hall, with nominations led by One Battle After Another and Sinners. The ceremony, which begins at 5 p.m. GMT, precedes the Academy Awards on March 15 and is closely watched for potential indicators of Oscar voting trends.
Alan Cumming will host this year’s awards, marking his first time leading the ceremony. He previously hosted the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards, taking over from David Tennant. The evening’s performances will include Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami performing “Golden,” the song featured in Netflix’s Demon Hunters, and a performance by Jessie Ware during the In Memoriam segment.
One Battle After Another has received 14 nominations, including Best Film and Director, a showing second only to Gandhi’s 16 nominations in 1983. Sinners follows closely with 13 nominations, including recognition for Ryan Coogler as Director and Original Screenplay. Michael B. Jordan has received his first BAFTA nomination for Best Actor, while Wunmi Mosaku is nominated for Best Actress.
This year’s BAFTA Fellowship, the arts charity’s highest accolade, will be presented to NBCUniversal Entertainment chairman Dame Donna Langley. Clare Binns, creative director of PictureHouse Cinemas, will receive the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema prize.
Viewers in the UK can watch the BAFTA Film Awards on BBC One and iPlayer starting at 7 p.m. GMT. In North America, E! will broadcast the ceremony at 8 p.m. ET, replacing BritBox as the U.S. Rights-holder. BAFTA will also share key moments and winners’ speeches on its social media channels. While the event begins at 5 p.m. GMT, it is not screened live on the BBC.
