HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – โคHawaiiโ Pacific University (HPU) will become the first โuniversity in Hawaii to offer a โthree-year undergraduate degree, beginning with a Bachelor of Science in Global Business (BSGB) program.
The 90-credit program is designed for accelerated, flexible,โ and future-focused learning, completed โฃacross twelve eight-week โขterms. Applications โคare now open, with theโ inaugural โฃcohort of Global Business Scholars slated to begin studies in fall 2026.
The BSGB program โขintegrates interdisciplinary academics with practical experience. Students willโ initially engage with the Kakaสปako business โcommunity, benefiting from mentorshipโ and a collaborative student environment. theโค curriculum includes two integrated internships, with the option โคto complete the second during spring break.
HPU encourages โstudents to โpursue study โabroad or work opportunities during summers in locations such โas โคJapan, Singapore, China, Europe, or โthe continental U.S., supporting โon-time graduation. Coursework willโค cover topics including “Technology and the Global Enterprise,” โ”Market Landscape & Positioning,” “Corporate Finance &โค Investment Strategies,” “Purpose Driven innovation and Entrepreneurship,” and “The Artโ ofโ Selling.”
“This isโ not just a faster path to graduation. it’s โan โขintentional, impactful, and global โขway to learn,” said Amy Nguyen-Chyung, Ph.D., Dean of the college of โขBusiness. “We expect three-year degrees like this โคto โขbecome more common in the years ahead, and HPU is pioneering the chance right here in Hawaii.”
