Delhi Government to Launch โ75 โฃProjects onโข PMโฃ Modi‘s Birthday Under โ’Seva Pakhwada’
New Delhi, September 14th -โ the Delhi โฃgovernment will inaugurate โฃ75 projects valued atโ crores of rupees โฃon September 17th, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, as partโ of the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ initiative, announced Chiefโค Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday.
Among the projects โslated for launch โare three โsignificant facilitiesโฃ focused on care and supportโฃ for vulnerable populations. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate โค15 major projects at Thyagraj Stadium, includingโ the Atal Drishtiโฃ Girls’ Hostel,โข the Atal Asha Home โforโ persons with intellectual disability, and โฃthe Savitribai Phule Senior Citizens’ Home.
The Savitribai Phule Senior citizens’ Home,โ located in Paschim Vihar and constructed at โa cost of โน10.64 crore on a 2,257 square meter plot, will accommodate 96 residents. It will โคoffer medical facilities, nutritious meals, hygienicโ living conditions, and opportunities for โrecreational andโข social โฃengagement.
Near Delhi Universityโค in โTimarpur, the Atal Drishtiโข Girls’ Hostel, designed for 96 visually impaired students, has been built for โน13.42 crore. The hostel featuresโ barrier-free infrastructure, dedicated support staff, andโ resources โฃto foster both educational and personal growth.
Additionally, the Atal Asha Home in Narela, constructed at a cost of โน40.60 โขcrore, will provide rehabilitation, care, and training for 220 individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Chief Minister โขGupta emphasized that these initiativesโ demonstrate her government’s dedicationโข to inclusive education, women’s empowerment, and ensuring a dignified life for the elderly. โฃShe also noted that the facilities are namedโค in honor of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, recognizing his enduring โฃvision โand compassion.
