Under the new regulations, commenters explicitly declare themselves as the sole owners of the content they submit, assuming full responsibility for its accuracy and legality. The newspaper secures a perpetual, exclusive license to utilize submitted content across all platforms. Users are legally bound to ensure their comments are not obscene, offensive, or infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
Specifically prohibited content includes commercial advertising outside designated areas, hate speech, racism, xenophobia, discriminatory language, incitement to violence, and any material intended to defame or harm the reputation of individuals. Commenters acknowledge they are liable for any fines, costs, or penalties arising from their posts.
While the Correio da Manhã does not commit to proactively monitoring or pre-approving all comments, its editorial team reserves the right to reject submissions that violate the established rules.
