Pakistan Cricket Team Returns Empty-Handed from Asian Games Cricket

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com October 7, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Hangzhou: After being eliminated from the Asia Cup without reaching the finals, the Pakistan cricket team returned empty-handed in the Asian Games cricket. The Pakistan team lost to Afghanistan in the semi-finals yesterday and failed to reach the final and lost to Bangladesh in the bronze medal match. With this, Pakistan team is returning from China empty-handed without any medals in cricket.

Today’s battle for third place was delayed due to rain. The match was later reduced to five overs each. Batting first, Pakistan scored 48 runs for the loss of one wicket in five overs. Bangladesh’s target was revised to 65 runs in five overs as rain came again after Pakistan’s innings.

After losing two wickets in the first over, Bangladesh scored 45 runs for the loss of three wickets in the first four overs and needed 20 runs in the last over and four runs in the last ball to win. Bangladesh player Yasil Ali gave hope as he hit the first ball of the last over bowled by Sufiyan McWeem for a six. Yasir scored two runs off the second ball and hit the third ball again for a six.

If Shubman Gill is the opener, the Aussies will be afraid, but if Ishan Kishan is the opener, the former Aussies captain says that there is no need to be afraid.

They scored two runs in the fourth ball but with Yasir Ali out in the fifth ball, Bangladesh needed four runs to win off the last ball. Rakibul Hasan, who came to the crease in place of Yasir Ali, hit a boundary on the very first ball he faced to give Bangladesh a memorable win and the bronze medal. India and Afghanistan will face each other in today’s gold medal match.

Elderly Man Sentenced to Death for Brutal Murder of Two Women in North Florida

Florida: When asked if he had anything to say to the suspect in the brutal murder of two women before execution, he replied, ‘I love you all’! 54-year-old Michael Sack was sentenced to death by the court in the 1996 case. The incident took place in North Florida, USA.

Zack killed Ravon Smith and Laura Rosillo, two women he met at bars in North Florida. Zack brutally killed these two women who had met each other in the next few days.

Zack was a regular at the bar in Tallahassee. After his girlfriend broke up with him, he borrowed the liquor store employee’s pickup truck and left the place. And Zack never came back to Tallahassee. Zack ended up at a bar in Niceville, Florida. Befriended a construction company owner there. He learns that Zack lives in a pickup truck and invites him over to his house. From here Zack stole two guns and $42 and left.

Zack met Laura Rosillo at another bar. He invited the woman to the beach to use drugs. He was strangled here. The next day, he met Ravon Smith at another bar. Both went to the beach to smoke weed. Smith then took Zack home. At home, Zack hit Smith on the head with a bottle. Then he was stabbed to death. Electronic devices including television and purse were stolen from the woman’s house. When he went to the shop to sell it, the shopkeeper suspected that it was stolen. Zack was on the run and was arrested within two days.

Zack confesses that he killed Smith. Zack told the court he was provoked by Smith’s comments about his mother’s murder. The attorney argued that Zack is an alcoholic and suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. But the US Supreme Court rejected the petition to stay the execution.

Dropped Sanju Samson Faces Neglect from Indian Team Management: Former Wicket Keeper Speaks Out

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com September 28, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Mumbai: Sanju Samson was dropped from the Indian team for the ODI World Cup. Instead, Suryakumar Yadav, who has a poor record in ODIs, has been brought into the team. But Surya, who found form in the ODI series against Australia, justified his inclusion. KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan are the wicket keepers in the team. With this, Sanju did not get a chance. Moreover, Sanju was also not included in the Indian team for the Asian Games. The player faced severe neglect from the team management.

Former wicket keeper Saba Karim is clarifying the reason for excluding Sanju from the World Cup – Asian Games team. As he explains… “If KL Rahul doesn’t recover from his injury, India had expected to include Sanju in the World Cup team. But with KL Rahul regaining fitness, Sanju had to be dropped. Sanju was also not included in the squad for the Asian Games as he was part of the senior team’s plans. I believe the team management must have informed Sanju why it was not considered. It is unfortunate that Sanju was left out. Sanju is a very talented actor. He has a lot of potential and I hope to see Sanju back in the Indian team in the future,” said Saba Karim.

Colombo: Young star Tilak Verma was disappointed when he debuted for India in the match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup Super Four. Tilak returned with just five runs off nine balls. Thilak Verma came to the crease in the debut match with one down after captain Rohit Sharma was out for zero in the first over.

Thilak, who faced five balls to get the first run, hit a boundary in the seventh ball but did not have much life at the crease. On the ninth ball he faced, Tilak was bowled by Tansim Hasan. Thilak was bowled on a left ball by Tansim Hasan. Tilak’s brilliant performance in the T20 series against the West Indies brought him to the Indian team for the Asia Cup.

“The heavy defeat against India left the Pakistan team mentally exhausted,” the former Pakistan captain said openly

Tilak got a chance in the playing eleven for the first time after joining the Asia Cup team with the advantage of being a left-handed batsman, beating Malayali player Sanju Samson, who has the best record in ODIs. Tilak, who received the ODI cap from captain Rohit Sharma, but the first match turned out to be a disappointment.

After his performance in the T20 series against the West Indies, the Indian star Ashwin demanded that Tilak be included in the World Cup team. But along with Sanju, Tilak also did not get a place in the World Cup team. In any case, the fans took to social media to reply that the poor performance in the first match was a blow to the selectors who dropped Sanju and brought Tilak into the team.

Fans also alleged that Tilak joined the Indian team because he was a part of the Mumbai lobby. Earlier, the fans criticized him for giving place to four Mumbai Indians players in the playing eleven against Bangladesh.

Tilak Varma. Just played 2 good t20 innings against mighty West Indies and he was selected against Sanju Samson who averages 56 in 13 ODI. last two t20 was also a failure. But mark my word, this guy will again get priority over Sanju if Iyer sustain injury

Tilak Varma is easily the most overrated player at the moment.

A proper mug against high pace. Expert at b00tlicking Rohit and getting into team.

Can’t believe he is playing in place of Sanju Samson who averages 56 in odi. pic.twitter.com/uXgyadgRyC

Why you can’t pick him and management No doubt Tilak Varma is talented but he has no such experience and Sanju Samson stayed in the team for so long but he can’t be first choice unfairness on another level !! pic.twitter.com/cRPIDPR4Xx

written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

Colombo: Rumors of a rift between Indian captain Rohit Sharma and former skipper Virat Kohli are years old. Ever since the 2019 ODI World Cup in England, there were reports that the duo had a rift and that there were two factions in the Indian team, those supporting Virat Kohli and those supporting Rohit Sharma. But later, when Virat Kohli was out of form in batting and resigned as T20 captain after the 2021 T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma became the Indian captain.

Later, Kohli was removed from the ODI captaincy. Kohli resigned as Test captain after the South Africa series. With this, Rohit became the captain of the Indian team in all three formats. After coming back to form after ending his century drought, Kohli continued his century hunt in Tests, T20s and ODIs. Rohit Sharma was the first to rush to the ground to pick up Kohli after winning a thrilling toss against Pakistan in the last T20 World Cup.

Saudi Arabia will continue to cut oil production by 10 lakh barrels per day

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s decision to cut oil production by 10 lakh barrels per day will continue for another three months. This was informed by sources in the Ministry of Energy. The cuts announced in July were extended to August and then September. But the current decision is to extend it for another three months.

According to the new decision, the shortfall in oil production will continue till December. According to Saudi Press Agency, the country’s oil production will be around 90 lakh barrels per day in the next three months. The cutback decision announced as per current circumstances will be subject to monthly reviews. According to the official sources, the production may be increased or the amount of cuts may be increased.

The country had reduced its normal oil production last April. Apart from this, special cuts have been going on for the last three months. Experts believe that the current situation is likely to continue till the end of next year. The additional cuts are Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthen OPEC countries’ precautionary measures to control oil prices. Officials explained that Saudi Arabia aims to support the stability and balance of the global oil market with these measures.
