TEPJF rejects INE order that asked AMLO to eliminate interview with Russian journalist

Mexico City. The Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF) reversed the agreement by which the Complaints and Complaints Commission of the INE ordered President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to remove from his social networks the interview he gave to the Russian journalist Inna Afinogenova, in which she spoke in favor of Claudia Sheinbaum.

In a private session, with four votes in favor and one against, this one by Felipe de la Mata, the magistrates approved the project led by Reyes Rodríguez, who pointed out that the measure dictated by the INE “is disproportionate.”

He indicated that limiting the content of an interview “in which the President of the Republic talks about his retirement, the Mexican opposition, the media and the moments that marked his six-year term, would be disproportionate.”

Furthermore, he pointed out inconsistency because when analyzing the Canal Red interview, broadcast on February 20, the Complaints Commission concluded on March 14 that the request for precautionary measures raised by the PAN and PRD “was inadmissible under the argument that, “Since the reported facts are a journalistic exercise, it enjoys a presumption of legality.”

However, he did allow it to be removed from the President’s social networks, considering that some of his expressions “put at risk the principles of neutrality, equity and impartiality in the contest.”

The inconsistency, he explained, lies in the fact that the commission assessed the same facts with a different standard and, in that sense, “if the interview enjoys a presumption of validity, then based on a preliminary analysis, the inadmissibility of the measures must be declared.” precautionary measures requested in their entirety.”

The Dangers of ‍Political Asylum: A Closer Look at Recent Events

Recent events surrounding the controversial asylum ⁤granted to former Ecuadorian Vice President Jorge Glas have sparked ‍a heated debate⁣ on the implications ⁢of political asylum and its potential misuse. The assassination ⁢of journalist Villavicencio, just days before the opening of ‌the electoral polls last year, has ‌brought to light the complex ⁣web of political alliances and power ‌struggles that‍ often accompany such⁢ high-profile cases.

A ⁤Question of‍ Justice

When President Noboa justified the capture ‍of ⁤Glas by stating, “No criminal can be considered a political refugee,” ⁤he raised important questions about the abuse of diplomatic privileges and the true motives behind granting asylum. The government’s actions have not only stirred controversy but also highlighted the need ⁢for a more transparent and⁣ accountable asylum ⁤process.

The Shadow of Corruption

The involvement of Colombian hitmen linked to the notorious Jalisco Nueva ‌Generación cartel⁢ in the assassination plot⁢ further ⁢complicates the situation. It raises concerns about ‍the extent of criminal‍ influence in political affairs and the⁤ potential dangers of turning a blind eye to corruption within the highest echelons of power.

A Global⁢ Perspective

As the case unfolds, it serves‍ as a stark reminder⁣ of the fragility of international norms and the risks associated with granting asylum to individuals with questionable backgrounds. The actions of the Ecuadorian government have set a dangerous precedent that could have far-reaching consequences for diplomatic relations and the rule of law.

In a world where autocracies are on the rise and political dissent is‍ increasingly suppressed, ‍it is more important than ever to‍ uphold the principles of ⁢justice and accountability. The ⁣protection of individuals like Maria Corina Machado and Ricardo‍ Martinelli highlights the‌ ongoing ⁢struggle for democracy‍ and human rights in⁣ the face of⁤ authoritarian regimes.

As we navigate these turbulent ⁢times, it is crucial to remain vigilant and uphold the values that underpin a free and‌ democratic ‌society. Only by holding those in power accountable and standing‌ up for justice can we ‍ensure a better ⁤future for all.

The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obradorresponded this Thursday that he still does not understand how Argentina voted for your current president, Javier Mileywho called him “ignorant” in an interview with CNN en Español.

«Milei claimed that I am ‘ignorant’ because I called him a ‘conservative faco’. “You are right: I still do not understand how Argentines, being so intelligent, voted for someone who is not accurate, who despises the people.”indicated the Mexican ruler in his X account.

López Obrador reacted to the statements of Milei, who called the president of Mexico “ignorant” in an interview with the American network CNN en Español that will be broadcast on Sunday, but of which the channel broadcast a preview this Wednesday.

Milei, who also called the Colombian president a “murderous terrorist,” Gustavo Petrojustified this Thursday his offensive expressions to both by showing on his social networks “some of the many attacks by AMLO (López Obrador)” and the Colombian ruler.

The president of Mexico now reiterated that Milei “dared to accuse his countryman (Pope) Francisco of being a ‘communist’ and ‘representative of the Evil One on earth’.”

«When it comes to the most Christian pope and defender of the poor that I have ever known or heard of»argument.

The Mexican president concluded with a “Post data: hug to Gustavo Petro«.

President López Obrador Inaugurates “Megapharmacy of Wellbeing” in Mexico – Largest Pharmacy in the World

written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

MEXICO CITY, December 30 (EL UNIVERSAL).- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador inaugurated the Megapharmacy of Wellbeing, which, he boasted, “will be the largest pharmacy in the world.” He assured that the above is one more step for Mexico to make the dream of universal access to health a reality.

Prior to the start of the opening ceremony, the head of the federal Executive toured the facilities of the megapharmacy, located in the municipality of Huehuetoca, State of Mexico, where shelves and boxes with medicines can be seen.

“The objective is for all medicines to be distributed to the most remote towns in Mexico, so that no one lacks medicine. That is the ideal that today we are beginning to turn into reality, that dream of the right to health,” explained the federal President. .

López Obrador affirmed that in the past in Mexico health was for a few, and assured that these problems had nothing to do with the budget, “they fundamentally had to do with corruption.

“There is a budget, the problem was corruption in everything, in the construction of works, roads, education, health, and this is the case. About 200 billion pesos were spent on the purchase of medicines and equipment, but due to corruption, that resource did not yield, a few kept it… There were 10 companies in charge of the sale and distribution of medicines… now with the same budget that was spent, now it is enough to give medicines free to all the people of Mexico,” he asserted.

The President highlighted that the Federation already has all the medications for this year and next.

“There will be no shortage of them. We will most likely be the only country in the world with a pharmacy of this size.”

President López Obrador took the opportunity to criticize opposition politicians, whom he questioned for criticizing the megapharmacy. “If it were the largest drug warehouse in the world, then yes there would be protests, but it’s about the medicines, what’s wrong with them? How far does their senselessness go?” he said.

The President assured that the main objective of the megapharmacy is to “complement” the supply of medicines.

“The medicines will be in the centers and hospitals, but if the patient arrives and there is no medicine, you can call this distribution center and there are already teams receiving the calls, there are personnel from the IMSS, ISSSTE and the IMSS-Wellness “he explained.

At the time, General Jens Pedro Lohmann Iturburu, director of Birmex, said that the megapharmacy is a “strategic facility” that reflects “the indelible commitment of the Mexican State to the health of Mexicans.” He added that this “new chapter” also represents the absolute transformation of the health system in Mexico.

Step by Step

This is how you can request a drug from the megapharmacy.

The beneficiary must call 5595000911, the Megapharmacy of Wellbeing Service Center. You must have CURP, prescription folio number on hand and provide contact information.

IMSS, ISSSTE and IMSS-Bienestar have three hours to process the request and verify if they have the medication or, if applicable, direct the order to the megapharmacy.

If the institution does not have it, Birmex intervenes to analyze if it is in an area close to the institution.

Routes are defined and a delivery plan is made. The medication is then dispensed and it is verified that it has been received.

Mexico’s President López Obrador Ironizes Concerns About Vaccine Purchases from Foreign Pharmaceutical Companies

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com December 29, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has attacked those who resort to purchasing vaccines from “famous pharmaceutical companies” to combat covid-19. “They don’t like it because they are not going to inject me with communism,” he ironized, after ensuring that the application of the biological is guaranteed free of charge in the federal Health system but with the signatures of Abdala and Sputnik V, Cuban and Russian respectively. This occurs nine days after the Pfizer antigen was opened for sale in some pharmaceutical chains nationwide, followed by Moderna, both of American origin. With a cost that ranges between 799 and 859 pesos, about 50 dollars, citizens have privileged the purchase of these vaccines.

In his morning conference this Friday, the president even referred to the Mexican Patria vaccine, which is days away from being administered in public hospitals. “Any citizen can go to a health center and get vaccinated, it is free. I got vaccinated with Abdala and without any problem, but the conservative fanaticism and behind it, the business, the bills, the money that is the true God of these forgers,” said López Obrador. Regarding the inauguration of the so-called “Mega Pharmacy of Wellbeing”, he announced that it will also store vaccines against SARS-CoV-2.

With a delay of two years and in the midst of high demand to acquire the Pfizer and Moderna biologics against covid-19, the federal government announced this Thursday that it will begin the application of the Mexican vaccines. The first people to receive it will be the passengers of the Mayan Train, the Interoceanic Train and Mexicana de Aviación. According to the National Council of Science, Technology and Humanities, it is “a symbolic way of making homeland in different ways: with the free vaccination of the Mexican biological, and with the inauguration of these great transportation works created by and for the people of Mexico “, the public body stated in a press release.

There are at least six chains in which the antigen has been put on sale: Farmacias del Ahorro, Farmacias Benavides, Farmacias San Pablo, Farmacias Guadalajara, Walmart and additionally in five headquarters of the Mexican Red Cross, in all of which long lines have been reported. from the first hours of the day to reach any of the doses offered. However, the president has again referred to the media and questioned them for reporting on the high demand; as well as how insufficient the supply of antigen has been for pharmaceutical companies. “Ciro (Gómez Leyva) saying that there are lines at the pharmacies buying vaccines, they are sold out,” he said.

After two months of evaluations, on December 7, the Federal Commission for the Protection against Health Risks (Cofepris) granted the corresponding registration to market the Pfizer and Moderna antigens. Meanwhile, one day before they opened for sale to the public, the Mexican president ruled out that his government would seek to regulate the price of biologicals in the private market. The president has guaranteed access to free vaccines for the entire population.

“I don’t really agree with regulating prices. Because? There are vaccines, I got vaccinated about a month ago, I got both vaccines, the Covid one and the influenza one, and very well, I didn’t even have a reaction,” she announced in her morning conference on December 19.
