Dancers โFlock to Auditions for AminataS “Big โคGirl” โConcert
Riga‘s dance community โturned out in force on โขSeptember 14th for auditions to join โsinger Aminata‘s upcomingโ concert,โข “Bigโฃ Girl,” โat the Palladiumโ concert Hall on November 1st. The “Space” dance studio hosted approximately 70 dancers aged 13-35, demonstrating both Aminata’s popularity and the vibrant dance scene in Latvia.
Choreographer Elisa Kazemak led the selection process, seeking dancers withโค strong learning abilities, โprofessionalism, and versatility in various dance styles.โค Eight โคdancers were ultimately chosen to contributeโ to the concert’s choreography,enhancing โthe visualโ spectacleโ and complementing Aminata’s artistic vision. The โคselection committee also included โฃAminata herself, her manager Elizabeth Shukste, and choreographer Arthur Devel.
Aminata expressed her โคdesire to make dance a centralโฃ element of the “Big Girl”โค concert, aiming for a holistic artistic experience that seamlessly blends music and movement. The concert will showcase songs from Aminata’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, “Bigโข Girl,” set to release in October, alongside beloved tracks โfrom herโ previous albums.โข The album represents a personal and artistic turning point for Aminata, exploring โฃthemes of self-acceptance, resilience, and personal growth.โค Early singles like “Anyway,”โ “Opinion,” and her collaboration with zeฤผฤฃi, “For non-return,” offer a glimpse into the album’s layeredโข exploration of relationships, public perception, and inner strength.
