Vedanta Reports Record Production in Aluminum, Alumina & Zinc; Mixed Results Across Portfolio in Q2 FY26
Mumbai, โขOctober 4, 2025 – Vedanta Limited announcedโ its Q2 FY26 production results today, showcasing record โoutput in aluminum and alumina, alongside teh best-ever mined metal production from Zinc India. Though, the company experienced declines in oil & gas, iron ore sales, and steel production during the quarter.
Vedanta’s diversified portfolio delivered a mixed โคperformance, reflecting both operational successes and external challenges like weather disruptions and raw material sourcing issues. The results underscore the company’s continued focus โขon volume growth in โkey segments while navigating headwinds in others.
Key โHighlights:
* โ Aluminum: Production surged 44% year-over-year (YoY) to 117โข kilotonnesโค (kt).

*โฃ Ferro Alloys (FACOR): Ore production increased โ24% YoY to 47 kt,but ferro chrome output fell 28% YoY to 19 kt due to a planned one-month furnace shutdown.
* โ Copper India: Copper cathode production was marginally lower at 40 โkt, down 3% YoY from 41 kt, attributed to temporary raw material sourcing โฃissues.
* โ Power: Total sales dipped 2% YoY to 4,331 million units. TSPLโ contributedโข 2,789 million units (a 3%โค YoY decline), while โฃJharsuguda and BALCO sales fell 57% and โ50% YoY,โฃ respectively. โขThe Meenakshi 1000โค MW unit supplied 459 million units, and Athena’s 600 MW plant contributed 336 million units in its first quarter ofโฃ operation.
