Juventus Approves Budget with โฌ58.1M Loss, โPlans โฌ110Mโข Capital Increase
Juventus’ โขboard of directors has approved the โ2024-25 budget, reporting โa โloss of โฌ58.1 million โข-โข a โsignificant improvementโฃ from theโค โฌ199.2 millionโค loss recorded the previous year. โฃThe positive shift isโ attributed โขto the club’s return to โขthe Champions League and strategic โคplayer trading.
To โฃbolster its financial position and maintain sporting competitiveness, โthe board โwill propose a โคcapital increase of up to โฌ110 million to shareholders โคat the Novemberโข 7th assembly. โ โฌ30 million of this increase has already been committed by partner Exor.
According toโ a club statement, the decision โคreflects revised economic forecasts for 2025/2026 and subsequent years. These revisionsโข account for lower-than-anticipated sports performance and sponsorship revenue, alongside non-recurring costs.โ The club anticipates limited improvement inโฃ resultsโ and cash โคflow in the current season, with a โฃtarget of reaching break-even โคby the 2026/2027 exercise.
Despite the recent improvement, Juventus has now โrecorded eight โconsecutive years of โขlosses, accumulating a total deficit ofโ โฌ847 millionโ overโ theโฃ past five years. Previous losses included โฌ227 million in 2020-21, โฌ239 โคmillion in 2021-22, โฌ124 million in 2022-23, and โฌ199 million inโค 2023-24.the approved โbudget, however, signals a “clear turnaround” โฃfor the club.
