Gaza City – โขIsraeliโ forces bombed a โsecond skyscraper in Gaza City today, โfollowing warnings to residents to evacuate,โฃ asโข air attacks across the Gaza Strip intensified, resultingโฃ in atโค least 35 Palestinian โฃdeaths, according to reports from Al Jazeera citing medical sources.Among the casualties, โฃ25 deathsโค were reported in โฃGaza โCity, and a Palestinian child was โkilled, โwith โothers injured, in โa raid onโค a vehicle in Khan Yunis. Yesterday, over 50 Palestinians were killed in โGaza, includingโฃ at least seven โคchildren, โขduringโค attacks in Gaza City. โSpecifically,five people,including a child,died โฃin attacks on homes in the Shati โคrefugee camp,and โฃanother five were โฃkilled โขin a โฃresidential building in the Sul areaโฃ of the same camp.
The Israeli armyโค (IDF) issued an urgent evacuation notice for residents near the “Torre al-R’I” and adjacent tentsโ at the โคintersection โฃof Beirut Street and โArabโฃ league Street, stating the structures housed Hamas terrorist infrastructure. Colonel Avihaiโฃ Adraee,โ an IDF spokesman for the โArabic language, urged residents to evacuate instantly south towards the humanitarian area of Al-Mawasi, khan Yunis.
Theโค IDF has broadly urgedโ the populationโค of Gaza City to evacuate to a designatedโ “humanitarian area” along theโข coastโฃ of al-Mawasi. “Starting now,โข and to facilitate the departure of the residents of the city, we declare the areaโ (coast) of Al-Mawasiโฆa humanitarian area,” โstated an IDF message.
The UN estimatesโ approximately one million people reside inโ the Gaza City areaโค and hasโค warned of an imminent “disaster” due to the impending military โคoffensive. Amnesty International, as reported by Al Jazeera, warned โขthat theโ escalation of Israeli attacks in Gaza City will have โข”catastrophic andโ irreversible consequences” for Palestinians.
