How to Thank Your Lawyer After a Successful Settlement | Attorney Advertising

A social media post by attorney Ali Awad, accompanied by the caption “How I treat my lawyer after he settles my case Attorney Advertising,” has drawn scrutiny following recent legal battles involving his firm and several high-profile clients. The post, shared on February 26, 2026, depicts a celebratory gesture, but comes amid a series of complex lawsuits and allegations.

Awad, of the firm representing Perry Greene, recently announced a settlement with Greene and victims in a case that garnered significant attention. This announcement, made by CAIR-Georgia, included plans for the victims to speak publicly for the first time. The timing of the celebratory social media post, however, has raised questions about the tone and sensitivity surrounding the resolution of the case.

Separately, Awad’s firm is currently involved in litigation with WorldQuant Predictive Technologies. Law360 reported that WorldQuant is suing both Awad and a former CEO, alleging unspecified wrongdoing. The lawsuit adds another layer of legal complexity for the attorney, whose firm has been increasingly in the public eye.

Further complicating matters, a recording surfaced earlier this week of a lawyer, reportedly representing a former Victoria’s Secret CEO in a deposition related to Jeffrey Epstein, making a joking threat to “kill” his client. While not directly connected to Awad or his firm, the incident, reported by Fox News, highlights the intense pressures and sometimes fraught relationships within high-stakes legal proceedings.

In an unrelated case, another attorney faced public embarrassment after a judge questioned the use of artificial intelligence in a legal filing. The case, involving MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, as reported by HuffPost, underscores the growing scrutiny of new technologies in the legal profession and the potential for missteps when relying on AI-generated content.

As of February 26, 2026, neither WorldQuant Predictive Technologies nor the former Victoria’s Secret CEO have issued further public statements regarding the ongoing litigation or the recorded threat. The settlement with Perry Greene remains the subject of ongoing discussion, with the victims’ planned public statements anticipated in the coming days.
