‘9-1-1: Nashville’ Actress Isabelle Tate Dies at 23 after Battle with CMT
Isabelle Tate, a rising actress who appeared in the pilot episode of ABC’s “9-1-1: Nashville,” has died at the age of 23 following a battle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), her agency confirmed Wednesday.Tate’s passing highlights the challenges faced by those living with this rare neurological disorder and has prompted an outpouring of grief from colleagues and fans.
Tate’s death marks a tragic loss for the entertainment industry and underscores the often-invisible struggles of individuals with chronic illnesses. CMT,a progressive condition affecting the nerves and muscles,gradually impacts mobility and daily life,as Tate herself experienced. Her family has requested donations to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth association (CMTA) in lieu of flowers.
The nashville-based McCray Agency announced Tate’s death on Facebook, stating she passed away on October 19th. “We are deeply saddened and entirely heartbroken to share that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19th. She was 23,” the agency wrote. they noted that Tate had recently returned to acting and secured her first major role on “9-1-1: Nashville.”
According to the CMTA, CMT is a rare, multisystem disease causing progressive muscle weakness, sensory loss, and other complications, often leading to difficulties with balance, walking, and hand use. TMZ reported that the disease had confined Tate to a wheelchair.
Tate’s obituary described her as “full of fire, a fighter” who “never once making excuses for the fact that she might have a disability relative to others.” she was also remembered for her love of animals and dedication to volunteering at animal shelters.
“9-1-1: Nashville,” which stars Chris O’Donnell, LeAnn Rimes, and Hunter mcvey, will honor Tate with an “in memoriam” card at the end of next week’s episode. donations in her memory can be made to the CMTA through a link provided by the agency.
