Isabelle “Izzy” Tate,โฃ a 23-year-old actress who appeared in the pilot episode of 9-1-1: Nashville, has โฃdied after aโข battle withโ a rare neuromuscular disease.โค Tate passed away peacefully on Sunday, according โto the McCray Agency, which represented the Nashville native.
Tate’s death marks a lossโ for the burgeoning 9-1-1 โข franchise and highlights the challenges โขfacedโค by those living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. She secured her first adult acting role in 9-1-1: Nashville,filmed inโข June and debuting October 6,after returning to acting following a period of โขstudy.
Kim McCray, ownerโฃ of the McCray Agency, shared the news on social media, stating, “We โขare deeply saddened andโ entirely heartbroken to share that Isabelleโ Tate passed awayโฆ I’ve known Izzyโ as she was a teenager and she recentlyโข returnedโ to acting. She booked the firstโข series she auditionedโค for,9-1-1: Nashville. She had a fantastic time.”
Tate’s family described her as “full of fire,a fighter,never once making excuses for the fact that sheโค might have a disability relative to โฃothers.” They also noted her musical talent, often writing andโ recording โฃsongs โคwithโฃ friends. Her greatestโค joy, though, was spending timeโ with loved ones, where she was “always the life of the party.”
After early work in acting and modeling as a child, Tate graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a buisness degree. โฃ 9-1-1: Nashville starred jessica Capshaw and Chris O’Donnell and โคwas produced by ABC and 20th โคTelevision, representing the third installment in Ryan Murphy โขTelevision’s first-responder series.
Isabelle Tate isโข survived by her mother, Katerina Tate, stepfather Vishnu Jayamohan, father John Daniel Tate, and sister, Daniella.The family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth associationโ (cmtausa.org), an organization providing facts andโฃ support for thoseโข affected by the disease.
