Kerala Election Commission Reconciles 2002 and 2025 Voter Lists Today
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Election commission โis undertaking a central verification process today to reconcile voter โขlistsโข from 2002 and 2025 โas part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. This process follows the release of public instructions to confirm the properโฃ naming of tables used inโข the revision.
The IT cellS objective is to determine changes in voter numbers and constituency delineations. Theโฃ current list contains 53.25 lakh voters, โคexceeding the 2002 roll. Verification is expected to be completed โwithin โtwo days. The Commission emphasized that simply completing the online ‘enemarization’ form and submitting documents is insufficient; โฃfurther steps will be initiated when the SIR schedule is formally announced.
Discrepancies between the โtwo tables, including polling booth andโ part-serial numbers, are attributed toโค the reorganization of Assemblyโ constituencies after 2002. Individuals listed in a particular constituency in 2002 may findโ themselves assignedโ to a โขdifferent โคconstituency in theโ updated rolls due to these changes.
