El Arbolito Cup: Austin FC U-13 & U-14 Academy Tournament

Austin FC today ‌unveiled ‌details for ⁢the 2024 El Arbolito Cup, ‌a showcase tournament for‌ its U-13 and U-14 academy teams, set to‌ take ⁢place December 12-14 at St. David’s Performance Center.

The fifth ⁤annual event will feature competition between Austin FC and seven‌ other Major League‍ Soccer academy clubs: Chicago Fire FC,⁣ colorado Rapids, FC Cincinnati, Houston ⁣Dynamo FC, inter Miami CF, Orlando City SC,⁣ and⁢ St. Louis City SC. The tournament provides a crucial development opportunity for young players ⁤within the Austin FC system and⁢ a platform to compete against top⁣ talent from across the league.

Each team will participate in four group stage matches, followed by a‌ fifth match resolute by ⁢their performance in the initial round. U-13 ⁤matches will consist‍ of two 25-minute halves with‍ a 5-minute halftime, while U-14 games will be two 35-minute halves with a 5-minute break. Tournament champions will be crowned⁣ on Sunday,December 14.

Austin FC’s U-14 team‌ will face‌ opponents from Chicago, ⁤Miami, St. Louis, and⁤ Cincinnati during the group stage. The U-13 squad will compete‌ against teams from Cincinnati,‌ Houston,⁢ Chicago, and Orlando.

North Texas SC’s Sam Sarver Wins 2025 MLS NEXT Pro MVP Award

FRISCO, TX – North Texas SC captain Sam⁤ Sarver has been named the 2025 MLS⁢ NEXT Pro Moast ‌Valuable Player presented⁢ by adidas, the ⁤league⁢ announced today. Sarver becomes the first player in north Texas SC history too receive‌ the honor, joining Arturo Rodríguez (2019) ⁢as the club’s only two MVP awardees.

Sarver’s standout season included being named MLS NEXT Pro Player of the ‌Matchweek for Weeks ‌19 ⁢and⁤ 30, and Player of the Month for August. He was⁤ also selected to the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro‍ Best⁣ XI last week and led North Texas SC to victory in the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Invitational Cup.

“He is a competitor,a personality,and is someone with huge aspirations,” said ⁣head coach John Gall. “He put‍ this team on his back from day one… I am so proud of Sam‍ Sarver, and this is only just the beginning for him. I want to be the first to congratulate‍ him on being the best player‌ in MLS‌ NEXT Pro in 2025,his impact on ⁢the league and most importantly,his impact on this organization.”

The forward signed an FC Dallas ‌contract on July 24, after a breakout ‌season with North ⁣Texas SC. He‍ has made six appearances for FC Dallas, including one start in Game 1 of the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs Round One Best-of-3 series against vancouver,‍ contributing two‍ assists. Prior to joining the Dallas organization, Sarver enjoyed a decorated⁤ four-year career at Indiana ⁢University, scoring‍ 24 goals⁣ and recording 22 assists.

“I feel ecstatic. This was one of the goals I set for myself this year,” Sarver stated. ⁣”It’s a reflection of the whole club and everything they’ve done ‍for me ⁣and my teammates… God’s plan I⁣ ended up here because Dallas is so⁣ good with‍ rewarding guys, and I ⁣feel like I fell ⁣into the perfect pipeline.” He also noted the significance of hearing the news from Bradley Wright-Phillips, a player he looked up to while growing up.

Sarver follows David Poreba (2024, Chicago Fire ‍FC‍ II), Jack Lynn (2023, Orlando City B), and Jacen Russell-Rowe (2022, Columbus Crew 2)⁢ as MLS NEXT Pro MVP⁤ winners.The Chesterland, Ohio native is the 37th player to appear for both FC Dallas and North texas SC.

FC Dallas Toyota Stadium Renewal: Key Updates and Partnership Extension

FRISCO, TX – FC Dallas and Toyota Motor North america have extended their partnership agreement, ensuring Toyota’s continued presence ⁣as the Official and Exclusive Automotive partner of FC Dallas and⁢ Toyota⁤ Stadium.The renewal coincides with‍ a $182 ⁢million modernization project underway ⁣at the stadium.

Since initially partnering in 2013,Toyota and FC⁢ Dallas⁤ have collaborated on youth soccer programs,sustainability initiatives,and community outreach in ‍North Texas. The extended agreement will see Toyota’s integration across FC Dallas‍ platforms and at Toyota Stadium throughout and beyond the renovations.

“We’re thrilled to‍ extend our long-term⁣ relationship with Gulf States Toyota and⁤ Toyota‍ Motor North America,” said Dan Hunt, President ⁤of FC Dallas.”Toyota has been an unbelievable partner, and we’re proud to continue aligning ‌our brands‍ as we‌ move forward into the next ⁤chapter of Toyota Stadium. Approved⁣ by the Frisco city Council in september 2024, the stadium renovation is a public-private partnership involving the City ‌of⁤ Frisco, Frisco ISD,⁣ Frisco Community Development Corporation, Frisco Economic Development Corporation, and the Hunt Family. Planned upgrades include approximately 3,400 new seats, a new east-side ⁤canopy for shade⁣ and weather protection, expanded club and suite spaces, and upgraded broadcast and media⁢ facilities.

Construction ‍is ‌currently underway,with the east-side ⁢structure already visible. Toyota Stadium has previously hosted ⁣events ‌including MLS⁤ All-Star Games, ‌Lamar Hunt U.S. Open⁢ Cup Finals, U.S. Men’s and Women’s⁢ National Team matches, ⁣the NCAA FCS Championship Game, ⁤FC ⁢Dallas home matches,⁤ NCAA and high school football, concerts, and international competitions.

Austin FC Mini-Pitch Opens in Del Valle, Texas – 4ATX Foundation

Del Valle, TX – A new soccer mini-pitch officially opened at Dailey Middle School in Del Valle,⁤ Texas,‌ on Tuesday, October 14, providing a free public space for recreation and community building. The project is a collaboration between Austin FC’s nonprofit 4ATX Foundation, Soccer Assist, Q2 Holdings, Inc., U.S. Soccer Foundation, and Del Valle ISD.

This mini-pitch represents the second project under the Verde Pitch Alliance, an initiative ‌focused on ‌expanding soccer access throughout Central Texas, and ⁤the⁢ 10th mini-pitch constructed by 4ATX in⁢ partnership with the U.S.Soccer Foundation. Since 2019, 4ATX Foundation has created 12⁢ soccer spaces, impacting ⁢over 600,000 ‍central texans.

“We are so proud to finally bring one of our free and public soccer spaces to the Del Valle community,” said⁤ Kaitlin mauro, 4ATX ‍Foundation Executive Director. “This community loves soccer‌ and it’s a wonderful addition to our network of places where families can connect and play right in their own neighborhood.”

Del valle Superintendent Dr. Matthew Gutierrez emphasized the broader impact, stating, “This new mini-pitch at Dailey Middle School is ⁢more than just a field – it’s a space for students to play, practice teamwork,⁣ and build healthy habits, while welcoming families from the community. Its presence strengthens school and neighborhood pride and creates a hub for⁣ connection and activity.”

Aaron‍ Rochlen, Ph.D., founder ⁤of Soccer Assist,⁣ added, “Seeing another mini⁢ pitch⁤ come to life, this time in Del Valle,⁤ reminds us why we do this work. It’s about giving kids⁣ a safe, inspiring space to play, grow, and⁢ belong. And soccer Assist is just thrilled to be along for the ride.”

Owen Wolff: MLS 22 Under 22 Ranking and Austin FC Stats

Austin FC midfielder Owen Wolff has been⁤ recognized as one of Major League⁤ Soccer’s top young ⁢talents, earning the No. 4 spot on the 2025 MLS ‌22 Under 22 list. The proclamation came today from MLS,highlighting ‍the league’s ⁣brightest players under ⁤the age of 22 as determined by a panel of experts.

This marks the third consecutive year Wolff has been ⁣included on the prestigious list,⁣ improving his ranking from No. 18 in 2023 and No. 17 in 2024. The MLS 22 Under 22 ‌list ‍is voted on‌ by a panel comprised of MLS coaches, general⁣ managers, sporting directors, MLS Season Pass talent, and select media members.

Wolff currently⁤ leads Austin FC in goal contributions this ⁢season with 16 ‌across all competitions (five goals, 11 assists) and has 63 key⁣ passes⁢ in MLS play. Notably,all five of⁤ his goals ‌have been match-winners,and he is one game-winning ⁣contribution away from‍ setting a new Club record for a single season. He has also⁤ been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday a team-high five times in 2025.

A pivotal figure for Austin FC, Wolff became the club’s first-ever Homegrown signing in September 2021 at the age of 16.He also⁢ holds the distinction of ‍being the⁣ first⁤ Homegrown player to appear in a⁤ match for the Verde & Black, making his debut on November 3,⁢ 2021, in a ‌3-1 victory over Sporting Kansas City. To date, wolff has⁢ made 133 appearances for Austin FC, ranking sixth-most ‌in ‍club history.

Austin FC Goalkeeper Brad Stuver Re-Signs with Club

Austin FC Goalkeeper brad Stuver Signs Contract Extension Through 2027

AUSTIN,TX – Austin‌ FC has secured goalkeeper Brad‌ Stuver through‌ the ⁣end of the 2027 season with an option for 2028,the club announced‌ today. The extension ensures the continued presence of a foundational player who has been instrumental ‍to Austin FC’s success since its inception.

Stuver joined Austin FC ⁤as a free‌ agent on December 28, 2020, ahead of the ‍team’s inaugural season. He has since appeared⁣ in all but seven of the Club’s 176 matches, becoming the all-time leader in games played.The contract extension solidifies Stuver’s ⁢position as a key figure ⁢for Austin FC, both on and off the field, and provides‌ stability to the team’s defensive core.

“For me, Austin has become like home,” said Stuver. “The way‌ that this community has embraced me since the ⁤very start has been nothing short of incredible.⁤ It has been a ⁢privilege to represent the ⁢Club on and‌ off the⁢ pitch and I’m grateful for all of the experiences I’ve had in the last five years here, while ⁣looking forward to manny more.”

Stuver’s accolades include selection to the MLS‌ all-Star Team in 2025, and leading the league in saves in both⁢ 2023 ‍and 2024. He has recorded 615 saves and 35 clean sheets in MLS regular season play during his five seasons with the club, and⁣ is on track to possibly ⁤break the MLS⁢ record for ⁢most saves ⁣by a goalkeeper in a five-year span, needing ⁣just six more⁢ saves before the end of the ‍2025 season.

“Brad has ⁢been an critically important part of Austin⁣ FC⁤ throughout his ⁤time at the Club,” said Austin FC Sporting Director Rodolfo Borrell. “His consistency on the pitch and positive influence in both the locker room‌ and the community ‌are admirable, and we are delighted to have⁢ him sign a new contract.”

Stuver has been recognized as Austin FC’s Defensive Player of the Year‌ in 2021, 2022, and 2024. He has also proven clutch in pivotal ‍moments, saving two penalty kicks in shootouts⁢ during austin FC’s first-ever MLS ‍Cup ⁣Playoff win against Real Salt Lake in October 2022, ⁣and a U.S. Open Cup‌ Quarterfinal victory over San ‍jose Earthquakes in July 2025.

Beyond his athletic achievements, stuver has been a dedicated community advocate, earning nominations for the ESPN Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award in both 2022 and 2023, and multiple-time finalist for MLS Works ‌Humanitarian of the Year for his work across Central Texas.
