‘Landman‘ Season Three on Track for Swift Production, โฃCo-Creator โReveals
LOS ANGELES – A third season of Paramount+’s hit dramaโ Landman is anticipated to follow a similar one-year turnaround as its predecessors, according to co-creatorโข Taylor โSheridan. The series, which premiered its second season this month, has quickly garnered a dedicated following with its immersive portrayal of the โคhigh-stakes world of oil โคdrilling.
Sheridan emphasized that the show’s core themes transcend current events, stating, โ”It informs everything we do in the story,โ we’re not beholden to who’s in officeโ or what the market is doing at that time. It informs us, rather than dictates.” This โapproach allows Landman to maintain creative independence and focus on the enduring human stories within the oil industry. The rapid production schedule reflects a โcommitment to minimizing wait times for viewers and maintaining momentum for the cast โandโ crew.
The creative team is already eager to begin โคwork โฃon season three, withโ Sheridan expressing a strong desire to reunite with the ensemble. “We hate to make people wait tooโข long, and we’re all excited to get back and do itโ again,”โ he said. “After weโค wrap, a couple weeks later, we’re like,โฃ ‘Dang, I miss everybody’ – cast and crew. We have such a great crew.”
While a formal renewal has not yet been announced, Sheridan voiced optimism about the show’s future. “Of course I am [feeling good about season three renewal]. I’m really โฃlooking forward to it,” he shared, clarifying that his anticipation remains contingent on an official green light.
The second season of Landman is currently streaming on Paramount+, โwith new episodes โreleased weekly on Sundays. The series stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommyโฃ Norris and features a supporting cast that has โฃresonated with audiences.
