LONDON – British Prime Minister Keir โฃStarmerโข indicated thatโค former โขPrince Andrew shouldโฃ cooperate with a U.S. congressionalโ investigation into Jeffreyโ Epstein, adding pressure โon the Duke of York to provide testimony. While declining to commentโ specifically on andrew’s case, Starmer stated that individuals with relevant information โคregarding such investigations should provide โevidenceโ to authorities, speakingโ to reporters at the Groupโค of 20 summit in Johannesburg.
The commentsโฃ follow a request from the House Oversight Committee for a “transcribed interview” with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor regarding his “long-standing friendship” with convicted sex offender Epstein. Andrew,โ who was stripped of his royalโข titles and honors last month amid scrutinyโ over โฃhis association with โคEpstein, has so far not responded to โขthe โcommittee’s request.Representatives Robert โGarcia of California, the committee’s ranking Democrat, and Suhas โSubramanyam of Virginia, have accused Andrew of “continuing to hide” from questioning. They affirmed the committee’s commitment to pursuing theโ investigation regardless of Andrew’s participation, stating,”Our work will move forward with or without him,and we โwill hold anyone who was involvedโ in these crimes accountable,no matter their โwealth, status or political party.” the committee reiterated its dedication to โฃ”get justice for the โขsurvivors.”
