A Vietnamese couple, Nguyen Thi Kien Giang and Dao Duy Cuong, whose story of resilience and love despite physical disabilities will be featured on the VTV1 program “Love’s Station” today, February 14, 2026.

The program, airing at 10:00 AM, focuses on the couple’s journey, highlighting their determination to build a life together despite facing significant challenges. Nguyen Thi Kien Giang, residing in Hue, suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta, a condition that necessitates the apply of a wheelchair for mobility. She connected with Dao Duy Cuong, a man from northern Vietnam, through social media, captivated by his engaging manner of speech.

Their relationship blossomed over a year of online communication, culminating in Cuong’s visit to Hue. He persistently expressed his affection, declaring his love three times before Giang accepted his proposal. Their wedding was a moving event, with the image of the couple entering the ceremony in wheelchairs deeply touching all in attendance, according to reports.

In 2017, the couple relocated to Hanoi, embarking on an online sales business. This venture proved successful, allowing them to purchase an apartment within a year and welcome a healthy son the following year. The couple’s financial stability has enabled them to improve their quality of life.

The program, titled “Happiness in the Crescent Moon,” explores themes of overcoming adversity and finding joy in the face of hardship, framing the couple’s experience within a broader narrative of resilience. The show draws parallels between the couple and those referred to as “incomplete moons,” a metaphor for individuals with disabilities.
