by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor February 16, 2026
written by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor

Chesapeake Theological Seminary will begin its spring semester on Monday, February 17, 2026, offering a hybrid model of in-person and online classes, according to an announcement from the institution.

The seminary, founded in 1983, provides training for missionaries, pastors and lay leaders based on a Reformed theological framework. This semester’s curriculum includes courses such as “A Survey of the Bible,” “Systematic Theology,” “Marriage and Family,” and “Evangelism and Field Practice,” as well as a new course, “Effective Biblical Study Utilizing AI.” Additional courses offered include New Testament Introduction, Missiology, Covenant Theology, and Christian Worldview.

Chesapeake Theological Seminary offers Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Master of Arts in Christian Counseling degrees. It also provides a certificate program requiring the completion of 30 credit hours for laypersons. The seminary extends its educational reach beyond the United States, conducting theological education for indigenous communities in Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Northeast Asia.

Supplemental instruction, including intensive classes, seminars, review sessions, and book discussions, will be held at the Anna Mountain Retreat Center, utilizing a “mountaintop teaching” format. English-language theological courses will also be offered at the Servant Run EP Church in Millersville.

In-person classes, special lectures, and seminars will be held at various locations throughout the region, including Han Sarang Church and Words to Live By Church in Maryland, Anna Mountain Retreat Center, and the Centreville Korean Presbyterian Church in Virginia. The seminary can be reached at (410) 852-0999 for inquiries.

The seminary’s approach to theological education was highlighted by Cho Hwi-kwon, a graduate of the program, who stated, according to the Korea Times, that being able to study Reformed theology centered on the Bible at a later stage in life was “God’s grace.”

The Chesapeake Theological Seminary New York branch also commenced its educational schedule on February 6, emphasizing a Reformed theological foundation, as reported by the Christian Daily.

Gambling on Stocks: Teenager’s Risky Trade with Savings

by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor February 16, 2026
written by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor

A high school student in South Korea announced online plans to gamble with savings and Lunar New Year holiday money on what he believes will be a rapidly rising stock, according to a post made Monday evening.

The post, shared on an online forum, detailed an intention to engage in day trading of a “ 급등주” (rapidly rising stock) following the conclusion of the Lunar New Year holiday. The student indicated the funds would arrive from a combination of holiday gift money and personal savings.

The announcement comes amid increased investor interest in the Korean stock market, particularly the Kosdaq index. Earlier this month, President Yoon Suk Yeol expressed a desire to see the Kosdaq reach 3000, a statement interpreted by some analysts as a deliberate attempt to influence market sentiment, according to a report by the Maeil Business Newspaper. The report noted that such “verbal intervention” by the President has spurred activity in undervalued stocks on the Kosdaq.

Recent market activity has seen some stocks experience significant gains. The Maeil Business Newspaper reported that one stock saw a year-over-year increase in share price of over 300 percent, attracting substantial market attention.

The student’s post appeared on February 16, 2026, coinciding with the final day of the Lunar New Year holiday in China, Brazil, and Argentina, all of which were observed as public holidays. The United States similarly observed a holiday on the same day.

Financial analyst Jae-tech Nongbu, writing on the Naver platform, recently highlighted IBM as a potentially attractive investment, citing the company’s involvement in quantum computing, space technology, and artificial intelligence. However, the student’s post did not specify which stock he intended to trade.

The Kakao777 blog, a platform offering stock-related information, published an analysis of 11 insurance-related stocks on February 16, 2026, but it is unclear if this analysis influenced the student’s decision. The blog emphasized that its stock recommendations are not formal investment advice and that investors bear full responsibility for their investment choices.

Lose Weight Without Diet: Increase Cardio Time for Results

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor February 14, 2026

Online communities dedicated to the video game Genshin Impact are intensely discussing a figure known as “Kokobun,” with theories circulating about a potential manipulation of collective memory within the game’s lore. The discussions, primarily unfolding on platforms like Arca.live and Fmkorea, center on interpretations of the game’s narrative and character backstories.

The core of the debate revolves around the idea that Kokobun, a character within Genshin Impact, may have been responsible for events previously attributed to others, including the destruction of the nation of Khaenri’ah and the disruption of the Irminsul tree – a world tree central to the game’s mythology. A prevailing theory suggests that while players currently perceive these events as having been caused by different entities, the “true” history, prior to a manipulation of Irminsul, reveals Kokobun as the actual perpetrator. This interpretation posits that the memories of characters and players alike have been altered, obscuring Kokobun’s role.

One post on Arca.live details the idea that Kokobun’s actions – extinguishing the furnace and destroying Khaenri’ah – remain unchanged despite the altered memories. The broken pot referenced in the game’s final scene of an associated quest is cited as symbolic evidence supporting this claim. The implication is that Kokobun may not even be consciously aware of their actions, having also been affected by the memory alteration.

The origins of the “Kokobun” phenomenon itself are a subject of fascination. A discussion on Fmkorea notes the surprising spread of the theory, given its complexity and the length of the original explanatory posts. The rapid dissemination of the concept within the Genshin Impact community is considered unusual, given the difficulty of popularizing intricate fan theories.

Alongside the lore discussions, online activity related to “Kokobun” has extended to the creation of fan content, including artwork and compilations shared on platforms like HoYoLAB. These creations often depict Kokobun in various scenarios, reflecting the character’s ambiguous and increasingly prominent role in player interpretations of the game’s narrative.

Meanwhile, unrelated activity on the Total War minor gallery on DC Inside shows discussion of a different character, “Galmaraz,” and the posting of user-generated images. The gallery administrators have issued notices regarding image file naming conventions and copyright restrictions.

Instagram CEO Denies Addiction in Teen Lawsuit – Zuckerberg to Testify Next Week

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri testified in a California court Wednesday that he distinguishes between “clinical addiction” and “problematic use” when discussing social media’s impact on users, according to the Associated Press. The testimony came during a lawsuit alleging Instagram intentionally designs its platform to be addictive to young people.

Mosseri drew a parallel to his own viewing habits, stating he has described himself as “addicted” to Netflix, but clarified this differs from clinical addiction. He maintained that Instagram does not intentionally cause addiction, though he acknowledged users may experience positive feelings from spending more time on the platform. He also stated that such outcomes are not the company’s intention or benefit.

The case, initiated by 20-year-old Kiley G.M., alleges that social media addiction led to anxiety, depression and physical disabilities. Kiley G.M. Began using YouTube at age six, Instagram at eleven, and subsequently used Snapchat and TikTok, claiming these platforms are addictive to children.

Mosseri addressed concerns about Instagram’s beauty filters, which critics argue promote cosmetic surgery. He stated there is “always a tension” between safety and freedom of expression, and that the company is striving to create the platform as safe as possible while minimizing censorship.

The lawsuit is considered a “bellwether trial” with potential implications for thousands of similar cases against big tech companies. Mark Lanier, the attorney who secured billions in damages against Johnson & Johnson in baby powder cancer cases, is representing the plaintiff. Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg is scheduled to testify on February 18, and YouTube CEO Neal Mohan will also appear at a later date.
