Pearl Abyss announced today that its highly anticipated open-world action adventure game, Crimson Desert, will launch on March 19, 2026. The confirmation came during Sony Interactive Entertainment’s “State of Play” broadcast, accompanied by a new trailer showcasing the game’s expansive environments and combat systems.
Crimson Desert will be available on PC via Steam and Mac, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game is built using Pearl Abyss’s proprietary “Blackspace Engine,” the company stated. This launch follows a period of extensive development and public previews, including appearances at Gamescom and other North American and European gaming events earlier this year, designed to build anticipation for the title.
The announcement comes after Pearl Abyss showcased Crimson Desert at the Tokyo Game Indicate 2025, where it offered demonstrations to industry observers and the public. The company has been actively promoting the game throughout 2025, with presentations at the Game Developers Conference, Summer Game Fest, and PAX.
Several other game releases are scheduled for February 2026, including Freestyle Football 2 (January 30 – February 2), Project Zetta (February 4), Master of Piece (February 4), My Hero Academia: All Out Justice (February 5), Biohazard Survival Unit (February 5), Dragon Quest VII Remastered (February 5), and Inwang 3 (February 6). Further releases are planned throughout March, including Dragon Age: Dreadwolf on March 7 and Star Wars Outlaws on March 14.
As of today, February 19, 2026, Pearl Abyss has not responded to requests for further comment regarding specific details of the launch plan or anticipated server capacity. The company is scheduled to have a presence at the Tokyo Game Show, where they are expected to demonstrate Crimson Desert to attendees.
