The first episode of the Ramadan 2026 drama series “Mana’a” (Immunity) depicts a blossoming romance between Ghram, played by Hend Sabry, and Ahmed Salah Hosny, known as Taiha, while also showing Sabry racing with her children to a youth center, according to reports from Youm7.

The series, starring Sabry, will air exclusively on DMC and DMC Drama channels. DMC will broadcast the indicate at 8:30 PM, with rebroadcasts at 3:00 AM and 12:45 PM the following day. DMC Drama will air it at 12:15 AM, with rebroadcasts at 6:30 AM and 10:15 AM, Youm7 reported.

Sabry described taking on the role of Ghram as a significant step in her career, marking her first foray into portraying a character from a popular background. “Throughout my artistic journey, I haven’t played a popular role in a drama before, and this is what I was missing,” she told Al Youm Al Sabea. “By nature, I love to diversify and color and attempt all roles, and the popular role was an important element in ‘my palette.’”

The series is set in the Batinya district and spans the 1970s and 1980s. The narrative follows Ghram’s transformation from a wife subjugated by her husband, who is killed while involved in illicit trade, into a strong woman who confronts challenges to protect her family. The story delves into the world of drugs and social conflicts, while also exploring the concept of psychological immunity in the face of hardship.

“Mana’a” features a cast including Riyad El Khouli, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Khaled Selim, Maha Nassar, Karim Qassem, Ahmed El Shamy, Emad Safwat, Hoda El Etreby, and Mimi Jamal, alongside a number of guest stars. The series is written by Amr El Daly and directed by Hussein El Monbawy, with production by United Studios.

Sabry also expressed her enthusiasm for the atmosphere of the 1980s, noting her fondness for the music and fashion of the era. “I love the music of the eighties, and there is a whole generation that has not seen such things,” she said to Al Youm Al Sabea. “I spot that the eighties have not received their due dramatically.” She added that she was looking for a role that wasn’t perfect, and that the challenge of the character drew her back to Ramadan dramas after a four-season absence.
