Suriyan Lek Defeats Dej Por Borirak by Unanimous Decision at One Lumpini
Bangkok – Suriyan Lek, Yen Yen Ying secured a unanimous decision victory over Dej Por Borirak after a hard-fought battle at One Lumpini, bringing his record on the stage to 9 wins out of 13 fights. The bout saw Suriyan Lek overcome an early disadvantage due to Dej’s reach,ultimately finding his rythm in the final round.
“The first two [rounds],I was worried about Decho’s longer weapons,making it too much,” Suriyan Lek said in a post-fight interview. “Once he entered the last [round], in my heart, I onyl thought that I had to come out and fight. As or else I will definitely lose until I get the rhythm of 2 times. But became a missed night. During the announcement of the score, I was not sure whether to win. But when I heard that I was the winner, I felt clear.”
Despite the win,Suriyan Lek self-assessed his performance,rating it a 7 out of 10,citing missed opportunities to finish the fight. He expressed a commitment to improving his defense and overall game. “This fight, please give only 7 scores because there is a moment that I should close the game. But can’t do it. And have to go back to improve the concerns when meeting more fighting partners Including self -defense that should be better.”
Suriyan Lek’s ultimate goal is to secure a contract with ONE Championship to provide for his growing family, as his wife is currently pregnant with their second child. “The goal after this, I intend to do my best every fight. Show good form to get close to the opportunity to grab the contract and want to get the opportunity to punch in this program indefinitely to save money for both children.”
