by Lucas Fernandez – World Editor

Demand for tickets to see the Suntory Sunbirds Osaka face Wolfdogs Nagoya is exceeding availability, leaving some fans scrambling as the Daido Life SV.League heads into a crucial phase.

The two teams are scheduled to play at the IG Arena in Nagoya on Saturday, March 21st, and Sunday, March 22nd, according to multiple sources seeking tickets online. The match-up pits the league-leading Suntory Sunbirds against the third-ranked Wolfdogs, creating high demand for what is being described as a pivotal contest.

Suntory Sunbirds currently hold a commanding lead in the SV.League standings with a 20-6 record, whereas Wolfdogs Nagoya are close behind at 21-7, according to standings reported on February 9th. The teams are neck and neck, with no game difference separating them. The rivalry between the two teams extends beyond the current season, with Suntory defeating Wolfdogs in the best-of-three semifinals last season after losing the first match.

Dmitriy Muserskiy, a key player for Suntory, has been instrumental in the team’s success, delivering outstanding performances in recent matches. In the semifinal victory over Wolfdogs Nagoya in April 2025, Muserskiy scored 27 points. Nimir Abdel-Aziz leads the Wolfdogs Nagoya attack, having scored a match-high 33 points in their previous encounter with Suntory.

The upcoming matches in Nagoya are part of the second half of the Daido Life SV.League season. Suntory’s recent form has been strong, including consecutive 3-0 and 3-2 victories over JTEKT STINGS Aichi, and a nine-game winning streak in the league. The Sunbirds are scheduled to play JTEKT Stings Aichi in the championship final series on May 3rd, 5th, and 6th at LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY.

As of February 21st, 2026, ticket availability for the March 21st and 22nd games remains unclear, with reports of limited supply and high demand. Neither the Suntory Sunbirds nor Wolfdogs Nagoya have issued statements regarding ticket sales or availability.
