Suns vs Bucks Injury Report: Allen, Antetokounmpo & More Ruled Out
Multiple key players for both the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks will be sidelined when the teams face off Saturday night at the Mortgage Matchup Center, throwing the Western Conference matchup into uncertainty.
The Suns announced that Grayson Allen (left knee inflammation) and Royce O’Neale (left knee soreness) are both out for the game. Allen, who has been dealing with knee discomfort for several games, has missed 24 games this season due to various ailments, including a right quad contusion and illness. In 44 games played, Allen is averaging 17.2 points, 4.1 assists, and three rebounds. O’Neale will miss his second consecutive game, ending a streak of having played in every game for the Suns this season. He is averaging 9.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 54 games.
Too ruled out for Phoenix are Amir Coffey (left ankle sprain), who left Thursday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs in the first half, and Haywood Highsmith (right knee injury management). Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture) and Mark Williams (left foot third metatarsal stress reaction) remain out as well.
The Bucks are also facing injury concerns, with Giannis Antetokounmpo (left knee hyperextension and bone bruise) unavailable for his third straight game. Antetokounmpo, a dominant force for Milwaukee, is averaging 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists this season. Kevin Porter Jr. (right knee synovitis) and Gary Harris (left groin contusion) are listed as questionable.
Porter, the Bucks’ second-leading scorer, is averaging 17.4 points, 7.4 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game. The Bucks have lost six of their last seven games entering Saturday’s contest.
The Suns, currently on a four-game losing streak, are hoping to climb the standings in the Western Conference as the regular season progresses. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. MST.
