Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green is probable to play Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers, marking a potential return after missing the team’s first eight games of the season with a right hamstring strain. The Suns announced Green’s status Wednesday, offering a significant boost to their lineup.
Green’s anticipated return comes as the Suns navigate early-season injuries. He has averaged 20.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists throughout his career. However, guard Grayson Allen is now listed as questionable for Thursday’s game due to an illness, and Dillon Brooks remains out with a core muscle strain, having missed the last five games. Brooks, along with Green, had not missed a regular season game in the prior two seasons before this year.
The Clippers will also be without key players. James Harden is out for personal reasons, and Kawhi Leonard is sidelined with a right ankle sprain. Jordan Miller (left hamstring strain) and Kobe Sanders (right knee sprain) are also unavailable for the Clippers.
Los Angeles defeated Phoenix 129-102 in their previous meeting on Oct. 24, with Harden and leonard leading the way with 30 and 27 points, respectively. Thursday’s game tips off at 7 p.m. at the mortgage Matchup Center and can be heard on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.
