ISTANBUL – Veteran Turkish actress Suna Selen recently opened the doors of her Istanbul home, a three-bedroom, one-living room residence steeped in history, for a televised visit. The program featured a look at family archives, including previously unseen black and white photographs, and offered insights into SelenS life and career.
during the visit, Selen, known for her iconic roles in Turkish cinema, discussed her aversion to wedding dresses, explaining, “Wearing a wedding dress feels like a packaged bouquet of flowers to me.” She clarified she only wore them during her modeling work.The program also revisited her memorable portrayal of the evil witch in “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs,” detailing the character’s elaborate makeup and the role’s impact.
Displayed throughout the home are photographs of Selen’s family, including a portrait of her grandmother, Fatma Aliye Hanım, recognized as the first female writer of Turkish literature.
