Sule: My Children Not Obligated to Support Teddy Pardiyana’s Child

JAKARTA – Indonesian comedian Sule has stated his children are not obligated to financially support Bintang, the daughter of his former brother-in-law, Teddy Pardiyana, and the late Lina Jubaedah. The statement comes amid a legal dispute initiated by Pardiyana seeking to establish Bintang’s rights as an heir to Lina Jubaedah’s estate.

Sule acknowledged that his children, particularly Putri Delina, have consistently provided financial assistance to Bintang whenever Pardiyana requested it, according to a report by Tribunnews on February 14, 2026. “I have never prohibited them from giving something to their sibling,” Sule said, as quoted by SL Media.

However, Sule expressed dismay that this generosity has been misinterpreted, suggesting it portrays his children as living comfortably while Bintang struggles. He questioned Pardiyana’s own efforts to provide for his daughter, asking, “Is he still healthy, fit, and not working to support his child?”

“In my opinion, my children have no obligation to finance their half-sister. Let him work,” Sule stated firmly. He believes Pardiyana should be grateful for the support his children have provided, rather than adopting his current attitude. “From the beginning, it has been helped, and that is already a blessing, in my opinion,” Sule added.

Sule contrasted this situation with his own responsibilities as a father to five children, emphasizing the effort he has place into providing for their well-being. “It’s shameful for a man to be unable to care for one child. I take care of five children,” he said. He challenged Pardiyana to work instead of relying on others, stating, “Don’t talk about not being able to afford it. ‘Oh, because Sule has a lot of money’ – it’s the result of my work, so you work too.”

Pardiyana filed a petition with the Bandung Religious Court on December 1, 2025, seeking legal recognition of Bintang’s status as an heir. The defendants in the case include Sule’s children – Rizky Febian, Putri Delina, Rizwan Fadillah, and Ferdinand Adriansyah Sutisna – as well as Lina Jubaedah’s mother, Utisah. The petition followed statements questioning Bintang’s inclusion as a sibling to Lina’s other children, according to reports.

Sule asserted that he is no longer involved in the dispute but insisted that any rights to his children’s inheritance be restored before considering Bintang’s claim. He also reminded Pardiyana of the circumstances surrounding his marriage to Lina Jubaedah, noting that Lina did not receive marital property (gana gini) upon their divorce but instead received a “gift” which she subsequently bequeathed to Putri Delina.

“The assets inherited from the deceased, if there is a portion for Bintang, but when talking about inheritance, the assets should be the assets of both parents together,” Sule explained. “Whereas the deceased, the house and shop, I gave them. There are no assets from Teddy.”

According to tvonenews.com, Sule criticized Pardiyana for pursuing legal action while allegedly failing to contribute financially to Bintang’s upbringing, suggesting that Putri Delina has been the primary source of support.
