stroud Martial Arts Expands Thaiboxing Programme, Welcomes All Levels
STROUD, UK – Stroud Martial Arts is offering comprehensive Thaiboxing classes for all ages and skill levels, from young children to adults, with a focus on fitness, self-discipline, and positive mindset development. The program emphasizes a safe and controlled learning environment, building technique before introducing optional sparring.
Rooted in a centuries-old martial art from Thailand, modern Thaiboxing (also known as Muay Thai) is practiced as a ring sport. In the UK, junior training prioritizes safety, with competitors training and competing without head contact to protect developing brains. Strikes are focused on the body, legs, and arms.
Stroud Martial Arts’ junior classes blend pad work,technique drills,and light sparring,designed to be fun and physically achievable. Students develop fitness, versatility, and balance alongside self-discipline and control.Classes are available for ages 6-10 (Little Lions) and 11-15 (Junior Jaguars),as well as a ladies-only class for ages 13+.
Adult classes consist of an hour of exercise, pad work, and drills – making them suitable for complete beginners – followed by a half-hour of optional sparring. Participants must complete the class before joining a sparring session to ensure proper warm-up and focus on technique submission. Sparring is light and emphasizes controlled technique,but requires personal protective equipment: shin guards,14 or 16oz gloves,a gumshield,and a groin guard. Individuals unsure about sparring are encouraged to speak with Mathilde or anthony and observe a session after the main class on Mondays or Thursdays.

* Mondays: Little Lions (5-10 yrs) – 5:15pm; Junior Jaguars (11-15 yrs) – 6:00pm
* Wednesdays: Little Lions (5-10 yrs) – 5:15pm; Junior Jaguars (11-15 yrs) - 6:00pm
* Saturdays: Junior Thaiboxing Sparring (11-15 yrs) – 10:30am
