Stripe to Create 200 New Jobs at Dublin Headquarters

Stripe to Create 200 New Jobs at Dublin Headquarters

October 2, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

Financial technology company Stripe announced plans to create 200 new jobs at its Dublin headquarters, building on hiring growth that has pushed its Irish headcount past 1,000 employees. The new roles will span engineering and go-to-market operations, supporting the firm’s expanding infrastructure across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Dublin Operations Scale Up Following Headquarters Move

The latest hiring push follows a period of rapid expansion for the Irish-founded payments giant. Stripe now employs more than 1,000 people in Ireland, marking a headcount increase of over 35% since the beginning of 2026. The company moved into a new Dublin headquarters at One Wilton Park in October 2025, a facility that tripled its physical footprint to 14,500 square metres.

Eileen O’Mara, vice chair at Stripe, noted that Dublin serves as the twin engine of the company’s global growth story. “The continued expansion of our Irish team reflects both the strong demand for Stripe’s products and services in Europe, and Ireland’s status as one of the best places in the world to build and scale global operations,” O’Mara said. The Irish hub oversees regional operations while also developing core products for Stripe globally, including payments, Stripe Tax, and fraud detection tools.

Irish Government Agencies Back Stripe Expansion

The expansion has received backing from state development agencies. Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke welcomed the announcement, stating that Stripe’s growth highlights Ireland’s strengths in talent and innovation. The investment is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.

Dónal Travers, executive director of IDA Ireland, described the job creation as a clear endorsement of the country’s talent base and Dublin’s standing as a financial services hub. Behind this employment growth sit strong financial returns for the local unit. Newly filed accounts for Stripe Payments International Holdings Ltd revealed that pre-tax profits at the Dublin-based unit surged 337% last year to reach $445.5 million, up from $101.8 million. Revenues for the unit climbed 32.5% to hit $6.79 billion in 2025.

Stripe Services 86,000 Irish Businesses

Founded in 2010 by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison, Stripe has grown into a foundational payments infrastructure provider for businesses worldwide. Forbes recently estimated the co-founders’ net worth at $17.5 billion each, following an employee tender offer earlier in the year that valued the private company at $159 billion.

Domestically, the company services 86,000 Irish businesses and solopreneurs, ranging from technology firms like Wayflyer and Flipdish to established institutions such as Bank of Ireland, Brown Thomas Arnotts, the GAA, and Smyths.
