Starfield Village Paju: A New Lifestyle Hub Opens its Doors
Starfield Village in Paju has officially opened, aiming to become a central lifestyle destination for local residents and visitors alike. The complex is strategically located and easily accessible, directly connected to Unjeong Station on the Gyeongui-jungang Line via a second-floor pedestrian deck.
At the heart of starfield Village is ‘Central’, a four-story retail space spanning approximately 7,770 pyeong and housing over 100 brands. The offerings are diverse, ranging from automotive (Audi) and K-fashion (Musinsa Standard, opening January) to lifestyle goods (Muji, Xiaomi) and food & beverage options (Artisan Bakers, Urban Plant).
Beyond conventional retail, Starfield Village emphasizes experiential and community-focused facilities. Decathlon will operate a running-specialized store catering to the local running community, while ‘Time Chamber’ provides a co-working space designed for both self-development and relaxation.
Families will find several attractions, including the first Korean location of ‘crayola Experience’, a 600 pyeong immersive entertainment program based on the Crayola brand, launching in January. ‘Tick Dagam’, a five-sense based development and growth center for children, is also making its Korean debut at Starfield Village.
The complex boasts a wide array of dining options, from casual delis to more upscale experiences. The 4th-floor ‘Gourmet Street’ is designed for both family gatherings and smaller celebrations, and will feature restaurants like ‘Mutan’ (modern Chinese),’Gate Nine Mood’ (premium Thai),and ‘nobs’ (Brooklyn-style steakhouse, opening mid-December). A curated deli space on the first floor offers convenient light meal options.
Starfield Village prioritizes communal spaces. The ‘Central Pod’, a duplex atrium, is surrounded by 41,500 books, while the stepped lounge ‘Downstair’ encourages relaxation and interaction. The 3rd floor features ‘Upstair’, a colorful play space, alongside Starfield’s existing brands ‘Star Madang kids’ and ’Classcock’. ’Byulmadang Kids’ is a dedicated children’s library designed to foster a love of reading and social interaction, and ‘classcock’ aims to be a cozy lounge for both parents and children.
Adding to the unique offerings, the complex will also host the first Korean location of ‘Ockham Wellness Studio’, a collaboration between spa brand LPHYSIO and hair brand Ockam.
Shinsegae Property CEO Lim Young-rok described Starfield Village as a “futuristic local retail facility” designed to integrate with the surrounding community and enhance the quality of life for residents. He anticipates the complex will revitalize the local commercial district and set a new standard for lifestyle hubs in the region.
