Sporting Cristal, Universitario de Deportes, and Sport Huancayo enter the final stretch of the Torneo Clausura deadlocked at the top of the table with 31 points each, with a critical slate of matches running from November 6 through November 8, Depor reported.
The Title Race and Goal Differential at the Top
Sport Huancayo rounds out the leading trio with 31 points, matching the pace of the frontrunners but facing a difficult test in the mountains.
The fixture list for the penultimate matchday begins on Friday, November 6, with Atlético Grau hosting Cusco FC at Estadio La Matanza in Piura at 3:00 p.m., El Comercio Perú reported. Atlético Grau enters the match safe from relegation trouble while targeting a spot in international competition for the 2027 season, per Agencia Andina. Saturday features five matches, beginning with Sporting Cristal’s visit to ADT at Estadio Unión Tarma at 1:00 p.m. ADT requires a victory on home turf to secure its top-flight status for another year.
Saturday and Sunday Fixture Breakdown
The Saturday slate continues at 3:30 p.m. as FC Cajamarca faces Alianza Atlético at Estadio Héroes de San Ramón, followed by FBC Melgar hosting Juan Pablo II at Estadio Monumental de la UNSA in Arequipa at 6:00 p.m., where Melgar aims to lock down a Copa Libertadores berth. At 8:30 p.m., Sport Huancayo travels to Cusco to play Cienciano at Estadio Garcilaso de la Vega, looking to keep pace with the league leaders.
Sunday’s action starts at 1:00 p.m. when Alianza Lima visits Los Chankas at Estadio Los Chankas in Andahuaylas. Alianza Lima está a 3 puntos de la cima con 68 puntos en la tabla acumulada y necesita una victoria para seguir con vida en el Torneo Clausura. The Sunday schedule also includes Sport Boys against UTC at Estadio Miguel Grau in the Callao at 3:30 p.m., and Deportivo Garcilaso meeting Comerciantes Unidos in Cusco at 6:00 p.m. Universitario closes out the weekend by hosting CD Moquegua at Estadio Monumental in Lima at 8:30 p.m.
Alianza Lima Leads Accumulated Table Standings
The accumulated table shows Alianza Lima leading the overall season standings with 68 points, followed by Universitario with 60 points, and FBC Melgar and Deportivo Garcilaso tied at 54 points each. Because Alianza Lima secured the Apertura tournament and the top spot in the aggregate table, the club has already booked a direct berth into the national title playoffs. Depending on how the remaining fixtures unfold, the winner of the Clausura will either face Universitario or enter a playoff system to determine the national champion.
At the opposite end of the table, the relegation battle has reached its final conclusion. Diario Libero confirmed that Universidad Técnica de Cajamarca and FC Cajamarca occupy the 17th and 18th positions respectively, sealing their relegation from the top tier with two matches left on the calendar.
