Scratch Cookery, located at 30 Fountain Alley #150, offers a unique dining experience centered around a signature spicy chicken sandwich, alongside a selection of craft beers and classic sides.

Owner Vu emphasizes a commitment to simplicity and quality. The menu features crispy chicken salads, grilled cheese, and a standout hot tofu sandwich-prepared with the same brining and battering process as the chicken.Diners can also enjoy four-cheese macaroni and cheese, Sidewinder fries (a hybrid of curly fries and wedges), and a diverse range of Original Pattern beers.
“We do our best to keep it simple and make it good,” Vu stated to San José Spotlight. “We believe in our product and I just genuinely love how people react when they try my food.”
