June 6, 2026 Rachel Kim – Technology Editor Technology

A driver was apprehended by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s traffic police (Utrykningspolitiet, or UP) after being clocked at a speed of 132 km/h in a zone restricted to 80 km/h. The incident occurred at Langnes.

The stop was part of a routine traffic enforcement operation conducted by the unit. Following the measurement, the driver’s license was confiscated on the spot. In addition to the loss of driving privileges, the motorist faces a formal investigation regarding the violation of local traffic regulations.

The case is now being processed by the authorities, with the driver’s future legal standing dependent on the outcome of the ongoing police investigation.
