Spacer’s Volley Secure⁢ first Win, Bériot Highlights Key Turning Point

TOULOUSE, FRANCE – November 1, 2025 – Spacer’s Volley Toulouse celebrated their first victory of the season, defeating ‍Saint-Nazaire in a hard-fought‌ match. Following ‍a‌ tight first set loss (28-26), the team rallied to win the next three sets, ultimately ⁢securing the ⁤win. Key player timo Bériot‍ emphasized the team’s resilience and the importance of capitalizing on opportunities.

The win marks a positive shift for Toulouse after a recent ‌championship loss to Paris (2-3) five⁣ days prior. The team‍ now turns its focus ‌to the Coupe de france, with a rematch against Paris scheduled for Tuesday. ⁣This victory provides a crucial confidence boost as they navigate a demanding schedule and aim to advance in the⁢ Cup competition, where a single loss means elimination.

“Relief, yes, but above ⁣all joy, it’s a more‌ positive feeling,” Bériot ‍stated. “we had difficulty starting our matches until then. During the next ⁢three we ⁤didn’t give up, we took all‌ the points that presented themselves. ‍So, yes, it’s ‍a lot of joy becuase we work ⁤hard and we have a ‍group that really wants ⁤it.”

Bériot pinpointed‌ the⁤ third‍ set as a pivotal moment, noting the team’s ability to “drive the point home” after overcoming a set point deficit. ⁤”The third set‌ is always the see-saw set ‍when we are at 1-1 because then ⁤you play ‍the fourth set more relaxed. We where very clean, especially in the defensive block. We had a fairly calm set‌ (25-14) and that allowed us to offer this success to this⁣ audience who deserve it.”

Looking ahead to the Coupe de France match, Bériot acknowledged the close nature of their previous encounter with Paris. “We saw‌ that it was very tight last Tuesday. I think we‍ still had some left ‌under the pedal. We are going to take the lessons from this first match and ⁢go there ‌with the knife between ⁤our teeth.”

Individually, Bériot is averaging 21.5 points per game and ‌feels he is adapting well to ‌his‍ position. “I feel pretty good.I score points and that’s⁤ what I’m asked. I think I need‍ to gain consistency, that I manage to vary ⁤my game a little more… I have‌ the feeling that I ‍am gradually⁣ reaping the fruits of my work.”
