Belfast, Northern ireland – A significant IT outage within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT) has led to the postponement of approximately 1,600 patient appointments across multiple services, including acute, elective, mental health, and children’s care. The disruption, which began on Wednesday, prompted the declaration of a “major incident” at facilities like Craigavon and Daisy Hill hospitals, with patients advised against attending scheduled appointments.
