Will Kulp,a familiar face from Bravo’s Southern Hospitality,has announced his departure from the reality series ahead of its upcoming fourth season,describing his experience on the show as “horrible” and a “life lesson.”
Kulp’s absence from the Season 3 reunion, which aired in March and was hosted by Andy Cohen, had already hinted at his potential exit. the third season of the show, which chronicles the lives of friends working at Leva Bonaparte’s Charleston nightclub, featured Kulp amidst allegations of infidelity with his now-fiancée, Emmy Sharrett.
In a statement shared via his Instagram Stories, Kulp confirmed his decision not to participate in the new season. “The new season has started filming, and unsurprisingly, I will not be a part of it this year,” he wrote. “I will likely never film a second of reality TV ever again. It has been a horrible experience and a life lesson.”
Kulp extended gratitude to certain cast members, production staff, andy Cohen, and the crew for their past support. “Your kindness and professionalism are rare occurrences in the industry,” he noted.
Looking ahead, Kulp expressed hope for the new season’s success, wishing for it to be “entertaining without a defamatory storyline or unwanted use of my name, image, and likeness.” He also indicated that he would share further details regarding the production and network experiences that influenced his decision when appropriate.
Concluding his statement, kulp shared his contentment with moving forward. “I am happy to be moving on and I will be cheering emmy on from the sidelines with the rest of you.”
Since its debut in 2022, Southern Hospitality has achieved notable ratings success for Bravo. Season 3 saw a 22% increase in viewership compared to the previous season,marking it as Bravo’s first original series to experience growth in each of its initial three seasons since 2018.
