South Chungcheong Province Governor Park Su-hyun attended the 3rd South Chungcheong Province

November 8, 2026 Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor Health

South Chungcheong Province Governor Park Su-hyun attended the 3rd South Chungcheong Province Veterinary Conference on November 8, 2026, at Yesan Sples Resom, where he met with regional veterinarians to encourage them and pledge cooperation for the advancement of animal medical care and livestock disease prevention.

The event was hosted by the South Chungcheong Veterinary Association to promote veterinary clinical advancement, strengthen professional capabilities, and foster harmony among member veterinarians. Approximately 250 people, including Governor Park and veterinary members, attended the gathering, which featured a merit award presentation, resolution reading, and a donation ceremony.

During the event, Governor Park presented provincial governor commendations to two individuals who contributed to livestock disease prevention. The South Chungcheong Veterinary Association donated 10 million won to support regional development.

Governor Park expressed his gratitude to the veterinarians for practicing the value of respecting life across various fields, including livestock infectious disease prevention, safety and hygiene management, companion animal medical treatment, and the protection of abandoned animals.

To address disaster-type livestock infectious diseases such as highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI), African swine fever (ASF), and foot-and-mouth disease, Governor Park stated that the province will strengthen the deployment of public veterinarians and on-site support. He also pledged to support the infrastructure for training education aimed at enhancing clinical capabilities.

“Veterinarians are experts who protect the health of residents and the future of the livestock industry beyond the lives of animals. When the expertise of the field and the policy momentum of the province align, animal medicine and the livestock industry in Chungnam will open a path for a new leap forward.”
