South Carolina vs. Boston University Softball: Game Recap & Score – Feb 13

Columbia, South Carolina – The South Carolina Gamecocks defeated the Boston University Terriers 6-2 in a college softball matchup at Carolina Softball Stadium on Thursday, February 13, 2026. The game was part of the Carolina Classic, a multi-team event featuring Boston University, South Carolina, Louisville, and Kennesaw State.

The Gamecocks took an early lead and maintained control throughout the contest. Boston University managed to score two runs, but South Carolina’s offense proved too strong. According to game statistics, South Carolina recorded 6 hits although Boston University had 4.

Boston University began their extended season-opening road trip with this game, following a successful showing at the UCF Black & Gold Classic where they secured wins against Cal State Bakersfield, Maryland, and then-No. 16/20 Duke. Senior Kasey Ricard’s performance at the UCF Classic, allowing only one unearned run in 21 innings, earned her the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week award for the 14th time in her career.

Junior Kylie Doherty was named Patriot League Player of the Week after batting a team-high .375 and hitting a game-winning home run against Duke. Junior Kyomi Apalit also contributed with a .364 average, while senior Brooke Deppiesse recorded three runs.

The Terriers are scheduled to continue the Carolina Classic on Saturday, February 14, with games against Louisville at 12:30 p.m. And South Carolina again at 3 p.m.
