This week, the Gamecocks received rankings ranging from as high as no. 11 to not being ranked by one voter. Ten voters ranked South Carolina at No. 10: Eric Hansen (The South Bend Tribune), Haley Sawyer (Southern California News Group), Jerry Humphrey (AL.com), Jordan McPherson (Miami herald), Julian Mininsohn (WKRN-TV), kate Rogerson (WTVD-TV), Mike Jacques (WMTV-TV), Scott Hamilton (Post and Courier), Spencer Ripchik (The Dominion Post), and Stephen Means (Cleveland.com).
Dylan Sinn (The Journal Gazette) was the sole voter who did not rank South Carolina within his Top 25. Other voters offered lower rankings: Jon wilner (San Jose Mercury News) placed the Gamecocks at No. 25, while Greg Madia (The Daily Progress), Koki Riley (The Baton Rouge Advocate), and Sam McKewon (Omaha World-Herald) all ranked South Carolina at No. 21.
