Son heung-Min to Say Farewell at Tottenham Champions League Match
LONDON – Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-Min Son will return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to personally thank supporters during Tuesday’s UEFA champions League fixture against SK slavia Praha. The appearance marks Son’s first return to North London since announcing his departure from the club in August.
Son concluded his decade-long tenure with Spurs in a final match played in Seoul, South Korea, on August 15th, captivating a sold-out crowd at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. He previously captained the team to Europa League victory in Bilbao in May.
Following his departure, Son joined Los Angeles FC in Major league Soccer, where he recorded nine goals in ten appearances before his team’s Play-Off exit on November 23rd following a defeat to the Vancouver Whitecaps. He has selected the Slavia Praha match as the occasion to address the Tottenham faithful.
Son will appear on the pitch prior to the team’s entrance ahead of the 20:00 kick-off. He will then address the supporters who embraced him after his arrival from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015. Further details regarding timings will be communicated to ticket holders before the match.
