Brennan Earns NCAA Standard On Day One Of SMU Invite
DALLAS – SMU swimmer Jack Moore achieved an NCAA standard in the 500 Free on Wednesday, November 19, clocking a time of 6:22.49 at the SMU Invite held at the Lee and Penny simmons Aquatic Center. The Mustangs continued competition with an exhibition relay featuring Andy Baklanov, Harold Lockhart, Leonardo Pelaez, and Ben longeway, who finished in 6:24.43.
The SMU Invite serves as a crucial early-season test for the Mustangs, providing an chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships.Achieving the NCAA standard, as Moore did, is a significant step toward securing a place at the national meet. Competition continues through Saturday, November 22, with preliminary heats beginning at 10 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m.(with Saturday finals at 2:30 p.m.).
