Bengaluru Badminton Tournament to Crown Champions This Weekend with ₹2300 Prize Pool
Bengaluru,Karnataka - A competitive badminton tournament will be held in Bengaluru this Saturday,offering a total of ₹2300 in cash prizes to top players. The single-elimination event promises a full day of action, beginning at 8:00 AM adn culminating in a prize distribution ceremony at 4:15 PM.
The tournament is designed to foster local badminton talent and provide a platform for players to test their skills in a competitive environment. Open to all skill levels, the event’s knockout format ensures high stakes for every match. Winners will receive not only monetary rewards-₹1500 for first place and ₹800 for second-but also certificates recognizing their achievement.
The event schedule kicks off with player check-in and a warm-up period from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, followed by an opening ceremony and rules briefing.Preliminary knockout rounds will run from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with umpire-supervised matches taking place together on two courts. After a lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM, the competition intensifies with the quarterfinals and semifinals scheduled from 1:15 PM to 3:00 PM.
The final match, played as a best-of-three sets contest to 21 points, is set for 3:15 PM. A prize distribution ceremony and photoshoot will promptly follow, concluding with closing remarks and a networking session at 5:00 PM.
Tournament rules stipulate a best-of-three sets scoring system with an 11-point rally system per set. Participants are required to wear sportswear and non-marking shoes and are responsible for bringing their own shuttles, though rentals will be available at the venue. Players must report 15 minutes before their scheduled match,and referee decisions will be final.
