Škoda Fabia 130 Edition Debuts at Nitra Motor Show,Reaching New Performance Heights
Nitra,Slovakia – Škoda unveiled the new Fabia 130 edition at the Motor Show in Nitra,marking a significant milestone for the model and celebrating key moments in the brand’s history. The limited-edition vehicle boasts a substantial power increase and performance upgrades, setting a new speed record for the Fabia line.
The Fabia 130 edition commemorates both Škoda’s founding anniversary and the 50th anniversary of the iconic 130 RS model. It aims to connect the brand’s heritage with its current capabilities, offering a sporty and powerful option for enthusiasts. While seemingly understated, the new Fabia delivers a notable performance boost.
Powering the fabia 130 is a 1.5 TSI EVO2 engine producing 130 kW (177 hp) and 250 Nm of torque, available between 1500 and 4000 rpm, with peak power reaching 5750-6000 rpm. This engine is paired with a modified 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, requiring adjustments to accommodate the increased power output.
The result is a top speed of 228 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.4 seconds – a first for any Fabia model.The vehicle also features a standard-fit reduced sports chassis and a two-stage dynamics control system allowing drivers to disable ASR for controlled skidding.
The Škoda Fabia 130 edition will be available for order starting October 20th, with a starting price of €27,590. Standard features include 18-inch Libra alloy wheels, Red Stripers (from the Monte Carlo Equipment line), Kessy keyless entry, a parking camera, a multi-function steering wheel, sports seats, and full LED headlights.
