The Central Election Commission of Latvia meets to approve the final results of the 15th Saeima elections held on October 3, after verifying preliminary data showing a 51.79% voter turnout.

Apvienotais Saraksts Leads October 3 Election Results

A total of 806,641 voters cast ballots in the October 3 election, representing 51.79% of eligible voters. The Central Election Commission, led by Chairman Māris Zviedris, gathered data from all domestic polling stations and postal voting commissions to compile the initial tallies.

Voter support split unevenly across the candidate lists. Apvienotais saraksts secured the largest share with 35.288% of the vote. Latvija pirmajā vietā followed with 13.076%, and Suverēnā vara/Apvienība jaunlatvieši captured 11.710%.

Three additional parties cleared the mandatory five percent threshold to enter parliament. Nacionālā apvienība, Progresīvie, and Jaunā vienotība crossed the line, while eight other competing lists failed to gain representation.

Election Officials Certify Final Counts for 15th Saeima

Election officials completed vote counting across all districts without major disruptions, characterizing the election process as calm and organized. Zviedris noted that before the official confirmation, election administrators examine all compiled figures to guarantee the precise tally of every individual ballot.

The commission’s formal review translates the preliminary counts into certified electoral outcomes, setting the definitive roster for the 15th Saeima.
