Sivga releases M260 retro flat-head earbuds with USB-C and 3.5mm options
Sivga has released the M260, a pair of flat-head earbuds that blend a retro design with modern connectivity. Priced at $39 on Amazon for the version with a standard 3.5mm connector, the earbuds are also available for $40 via Sivga’s website in a USB-C version that includes a built-in DAC.
Designed for all-day use, the M260 deviates from the design of in-ear monitors (IEMs) by sitting around the outer ear rather than nuzzling into the ear canal. This design avoids the pressure and fatigue associated with long-term use of regular earbuds, though it does not provide the same level of noise isolation as Bluetooth options. The M260 earbuds feature machined aluminum construction with a silver finish and gold accents, distinguishing them from most budget earbuds which are typically made of plastic.
Audio Performance and Hardware
The earbuds utilize a custom 14.2mm dynamic driver. This hardware delivers smooth treble, clean mids, and tight bass with a good rumble. The mid-range is noted as a particular strength, providing definition and clarity for vocals, making the buds suitable for streaming movies, TV shows, and music.
Connectivity and Controls
Sivga equipped the M260 with a standard MMCX connector, allowing users to switch out the cables. The included braided cable features a nylon sheath for increased durability and includes a built-in microphone for calls. The cable also provides inline controls for pausing or playing music and adjusting the volume.
The USB-C model offers the convenience of connecting directly to tablets, gaming consoles, and phones—including the iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Find X9 Ultra—without the need for a dongle.
