Sinner Retires with Cramp, Griekspoor Advances in Shanghai

Griekspoor rallied from 3-4, 0/40 down in the second set to ultimately claim it and force a decider. ”Sometimes you need a little bit of luck to win these matches,” Griekspoor added.
Griekspoor becomes the first Dutchman to reach the fourth round in Shanghai tournament history.He will next face qualifier Valentin Vacherot, who also advanced due to a retirement – Tomas Machac stopped play while Vacherot led 6-0, 3-1.
