Holger Rune: “Not Far From Alcaraz adn Sinner’s Level”
Danish tennis star Holger Rune has asserted that his current level of play is not substantially behind that of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik sinner, despite a disparity in career achievements.
Rune, who has secured five career titles, made the statement ahead of his participation in the Washington Open, where he is seeded third. His most notable career success to date was winning the Paris Masters in 2022 as a teenager, a victory that highlighted his high-level capabilities.
In contrast, Jannik Sinner boasts 21 career titles and has reached a career-high ranking of World No.1. sinner’s Grand Slam achievements include winning the Australian Open in 2024 and 2025, Wimbledon in 2025, and the US Open in 2024. He has also won Roland Garros in 2024 and 2025, and Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024, along with the US Open in 2022.
Carlos Alcaraz, with 20 career titles, has achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 1. His best Grand Slam results include reaching the quarterfinals at Roland Garros in 2022 and 2023, and at Wimbledon in 2023.
