The couple first connected while appearing as cast members on the third season of the dating variety show Old Meeting Pursuit, which aired on KBS Joy and KBS2 from July to September 2025. Although the program brought them together on screen, the two celebrities never publicly confirmed they were dating before news of their upcoming wedding emerged.

Solbi’s agency, Jian Castle, and Hogiroun Company announced the marriage plans on October 15, noting that the couple recently completed formal meetings with both of their respective families. The wedding ceremony will be held privately in April 2027 with only family members, relatives, and close acquaintances in attendance.
