Singapore Pools: System Disruption Affects 16,000 Bets – Refunds & Double Payouts Issued

February 12, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

Singapore Pools is working to rectify a technical disruption that led to approximately 3,000 customers receiving double payouts on bets and left around 13,000 bets unrecorded, the operator announced on Tuesday.

The system outage occurred on Monday, February 11, rendering the IT system “unavailable” from 6 a.m. To 9 a.m., according to a statement released by Singapore Pools. The disruption impacted both online and retail betting channels.

Customers who placed bets during the three-hour period may find their wagers were not registered in the system. Singapore Pools stated it will fully refund the stake amounts for these unrecorded bets and will honor any winnings if a customer can provide proof of their bet, such as a record or receipt. The operator is proactively contacting affected online customers, while those who placed bets at retail outlets are advised to call 6786-6688 for assistance.

In addition to the unrecorded bets, approximately 3,000 customers experienced double settlement of their winning bets, resulting in payouts exceeding the correct amount. Singapore Pools is currently identifying these customers and initiating the process of recovering the erroneous payouts.

The company has confirmed the disruption has been resolved and systems are now functioning normally. It emphasized that the incident was not the result of a cyberattack and that no customer data was compromised. “Efforts are continuing to identify affected customers. We regret the inconvenience caused and will continue to perform on addressing any affected customers,” the statement read.

This is not the first time Singapore Pools has experienced technical issues with its online betting systems. In 2020, punters using the Toto Quick Pick option were affected by two separate software glitches, according to reports.

Singapore Pools holds a monopoly as the sole legal operator of lottery, sports betting and horse wagering within Singapore. Revenue is generated from products including Toto, the Singapore Sweep, 4D, sports betting, and horse racing.
